Rule 64
Obligations of the customs warehouse operator operated by the private sector
The liability of the operator of the customs warehouse operated by a person other than the customs office shall be as follows:-
(a) To arrange for the security of the goods in the warehouse,
(b) Keeping up-to-date record of open details of goods in warehouse,
(c) not keeping goods which the Customs Office has ordered not to keep in the customs warehouse,
(d) Not to remove goods from the warehouse without prior approval of the customs office,
(e) Goods which have been removed from the warehouse once for customs inspection shall not be re-stored without the approval of the customs officer,
(f) To make arrangements not to open or not to open the goods in the warehouse or to be left without the order of the customs office,
(g) To inform the customs office if the goods in the warehouse are lost or destroyed or damaged in any way,
(h) If the goods are kept in the warehouse for more than sixty days, inform the customs office as soon as such period ends,
(j) To allow the customs officer to inspect the warehouse at any time he wants and to provide the information and details requested by him immediately,
(j) To provide the details of the goods in the warehouse to the customs office on a daily basis (k) Keeping the clear name, address and telephone number and email address of the owner of the goods when keeping the goods in the warehouse.
